the Red Devil

Red devil is the name of Korean soccer supporters. Ironically, the Red devil also has a mean as Secobarbital which is a kind of barbiturate and a medicine. We may hope that our cheer is acted to the other team like barbiturate. They were widely known in 2002 World Cup. During the World Cup in 2002, city hall square was completely packed with “Red Devils.” They put on red t-shirts and draw the national flag on the face. A trademark of Red devil is the Emperor Chiwu. They play the traditional music instrument which sounds big and majestic. Their song is “The Fighting Korea.” As starting the World Cup, we can show exciting and various supporters. I am very interest.

The Meridian System theory has circulatory views about our body such as the river flows on earth according natural laws, so this theory has more advantages about a few diseases related to blood’s flow than modern medicine. the first is the stroke. When you have a stroke, so you do not move yourself because of you are suffering from paralysis, the modern medicine can not help to solve these troubles. The modern medicine may have a better solution before you are suffering paralysis than oriental medicine; however, if you already suffered from paralysis, the oriental medicine would be better. Actually, I did not know how to treat the paralysis exactly. But the paralysis from stroke is getting better a number of clinical cases. That is way the Meridian System’s view is based on the understanding as organism. If you are suffering from this disease, I hope to recommend oriental medicine to you.

As I wrote my blog, I was afraid about distortion of my writings due to my poor English skills, and I changed my topics to personal stories, yet I hope to give the information to other persons who did not know about what I am going to write, and also my professor, Andrew ,may hope the topic based on own country’s culture.

With the Yin and Yang Theories, we have the Meridian System that is based on our organs are extremely close relation each other.(有機整體) When I was very tired and hard working, I felt strange in my ear. The noise sounds like ring in the ear, so I met a ENT doctor. The doctor gave a diagnosis of tinnitus and I took a medicine, antihistamine. But my ear was not getting better. So, I met my friend who is oriental a doctor and I took medicine again. This time I took a circulatory medicine. Finally, I was better.

Modern medicine divide our body into specific parts and understand our body based on it. That is way modern medical has somehow dichotomous way of thinking. However our body is close relation each others. To understand this disease as oriental medicine, the ring in the ear is caused by weakened heart temporarily due to our weak energy(氣), and the chain reaction is starting: hard work-> weaken our body and energy ->weaken heart-> weaken heart pumping ->blood did not reach the peripheral organs, like ear. As a result, that is partial and temporary ischemia symptom. The Meridian System theory has circulatory views about our body such as river flows on earth according natural laws. I will write more about this theory and more easily treated a few diseases through oriental medical in the next post.

Too much free time is like not enough.

I thought that about “Too much free time is like not enough.” When I was a officer several months ago, I was really eager for much free time. At that time, (sometimes is maybe not, the frequently is yes!) I used to work on Saturday even Sunday because of my work is hospital which is opened for 24hours. Other pharmacists and I also had to class for 4-5 hours every weekend and when class ended up, we got the test. So I tried to escape from there and now I may success and got it. Yesterday, I saw the blog of my friends. She wrote “I totally exhausted, like, running out of gas, I need free time.” And also I saw her dairy from 4years ago “too much free time is like not enough.”

Now is my first of the free time because I was always walking and walking and walking; I graduated high school and then I graduated from my university and then I built up my career. That start is already done. And then what will I do? Hopefully, I will not agree that: “too much free time is like not enough”

I am holding free time in my hand. I need to be brave. Times seem to sands in the wind and so I cannot open my hand I am afraid of all of it disappear.

freedom animation :D
It is a funny.

My trip to Tibet was a growing experience. In 2003, I went to Lasa, which is a capital in Tibet, by airplane. As I got closer, I felt excited and lonely at the same time because it was my first travel. I and the other four people who I had met in the guesthouse set our face to travel to Namcho lakes. As you know, Tibet was officially closed to backpackers except to a few areas; therefore, there was always a invisible tension in the atmosphere. At that time I realized the importance of peace. Some days, we had to control ourselves, for there were bad conditions from a high mountain disease. On other days, we played the rock-paper-scissors game with the natives which amused us. Even though we used only body language, we felt a sense of kinship. During this experience, I thought that we were not separated into “you” and “I”, and we were in harmony with our surroundings. As my trip ended, I noticed that I had matured. These difficult situations and these pleasant experiences led to my personal growth.

Do you ever think about what color is ?
We usually see the soil as brown-yellow. But it is occasionally looks orange like in this oil painting. The way I see it, the color is what to be visualization that it puts the sunshine into objects.

When I was eighteen, I started painting and I entered into college of art at same time. However my choice was going against of my father and eventually I dropped out of my school. I still do not know why he did not approve. My father is directly descended from Lee Jun in South Korea who was the patriotic martyr. So if I may guess, he wanted his daughters become independent, successful persons. And also he hoped that we grew up to contribute to our society, not to vanity efforts of my great grandfather. During I worked at the hospital in pharmacist specialist and even if I was university student, I desired to be painter. Maybe I still may seem to want it. Dreams do not disappear. That is how it is. However, not the more it is not easy to back. Also that is how it is. Now I am just a pharmacist. I was interesting about children`s book at that time. It is changing to children`s nutrient issues in undeveloped country. Anyway, Joe Sorren is my favorite illustrator. His works are almost children. Through the child, he tells about something for us. He could deal with sunshine very well on canvas like Rembrandt who is a luminarist. If I could paint again, I would like to draw like his works.
